Tips & Overtime Tax is a free the federal deductions for tips and overtime pay tool built to give you a clear estimate in seconds - and to explain the rules behind it in plain language. No sign-up, no jargon, no cost.
Why this site exists
The new federal deductions for tips and overtime pay are easy to misunderstand and hard to estimate from the raw rules. We built a simple calculator so workers can see, in seconds, how much of their tips or overtime may be deductible and what that saves - without wading through tax forms. The site launched on September 16, 2026.
Everything here is free to use and works on any device. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
How we keep it accurate
The figures and rules on this site are based on IRS.gov rather than guesswork. We cite our sources on each page, show an "Updated" date, and re-check the numbers when the rules change. When we find something out of date, we fix it and update the date.
Our tools run entirely in your browser - the numbers you enter are never sent to us. You can read more in our privacy policy.
